HOW WE RATE USED EQUIPMENT:

Mint Minus:

Virtually close to new condition but has been opened and removed from packaging. No visible wear, and the item has been used with care.

Excellent:

Very minor visible wear, this may be a slight rub mark on the exterior but nothing distinctive.

Very Good:

More distinct signs of use such as scratches and rubbing marks.

Good:

Signs of minor wear to item, including scuffs or scratches.

Fair:

An item that has obvious and significant wear but is still fully operational. This is the lowest grade given to used stock.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What Currency are prices listed in on the site / What currencies do you accept?

All prices quoted on the site are in GB Pounds Sterling £. We do not accept payment in any other currency, it is the buyers responsibility to check exchange rates before purchase if not ordering within the UK.

Do your Prices include VAT?

Yes. All our new prices include VAT at 20%. VAT cannot be reclaimed when you buy second-hand items.

Do you deal in Grey Imports?

All our new stock is from UK approved suppliers, So no Grey Imports. This means they will have UK warranties and be eligible for any promotions the suppliers are running.

Do you take Part Exchange?

Yes.  We are happy to take in your equipment as a Part Exchange, Buy In or commission Sale.

You can also call our sale team on 01803 852400. We do also offer a courier collection service (postcode dependent) which costs up to £30 fully insured. For smaller parcels this is more expensive than sending the item in yourself but is ideal for those bulky parcels.

Do you price match?

We do aim to be very competitive against other UK retailers with UK stock. However if we are out on price please do contact us on 01803 852400 and we will see what we can do. Please do have the other retailer’s prices and availability of the item ready to quote.

Will you take off the VAT if I live in the Channel Islands?

Yes. We are happy to do a VAT free sale for those eligible in the Channel Islands.

Will you deliver to another address that is not my Card registered address?

Unfortunately due to the increase in fraudulent transactions we will only send to the card registered address. For more information please either email info@mifsuds.com or call us on 01803 852400.

Do you ship outside the UK?

Yes. We will send to Ireland and Postage and Packing would be no more than £30 depending on the weight and value of your parcel. We also are happy to post within most of Europe. Postage to these areas is higher and we will only deal with these customers by email to so there is no confusion or mix ups. For more information on Postage and packing in your area please email us what you would like to order and your location, We can then get back to you with Postage and packing costs and availability.

How do I know your Used items are accurately described and working?

We do aim to describe our used items accurately. Our technical team thoroughly test all used equipment when it comes in and again before we dispatch to you. D-SLR and Mirrorless cameras have sensors cleaned and firmware updated when necessary. If needed equipment is sent for servicing before resale. Mifsuds only use reputable service and repairers. Most of our used stock has a 3 month warranty (excluding eBay sales) if priced over £100 and comes with a 10 day approval period when sold through our online shop or mail order basis. So if you are not happy then just send it back with the original receipt and covering letter as to why it is coming back.

When will my order be delivered?

Mifsuds Photographic Ltd aim to dispatch orders placed before 1pm Monday – Friday within a 48 hour period (excluding Weekends and Bank Holidays), this is subject to stock availability. If items are out of stock or delivery will be delayed, Mifsuds will contact you as soon as possible with options available. For online orders, Mifsuds will send you an e-mail to advise when dispatched. For orders going with our couriers if a mobile phone number is provided we will pass this on and our couriers will keep you up to date with delivery day and times.

Do you do Repairs?

Mifsuds can now offer an out of house repair service on most camera manufacturers. Please see our repair page for more details.

Do you do Sensor Cleaning?

Yes. We do offer an in house sensor cleaning service by one of our trained technical staff members. This is done by appointment only and is usually same day service. Please see our Sensor Cleaning page for more details.

Where did the Company Name come from?

Mifsud is a common and popular Maltese surname. The family originated from Malta and came over to Brixham, Devon to start the business up in 1954 and to this day is still family run. Since the business started we have become specialists in photographic goods and are a Canon Pro Stockist, Nikon UK Professional Dealer and Sigma Professional Stockist. We aim to provide our customers with quality equipment and a service to match whether you visit our shop, phone, email or write to us.

Do you hire camera equipment?

Yes. We offer a variety of equipment for hire, including camera bodies, lenses, flashes and more. Prices vary depending on the equipment required and the length of time involved. See our Hire page for rough costings but if you cannot see what you are after then please email for a quote.
